Simi Valley ROAD RIDES
The following rides can be viewed by clicking the link under the description. You can view the ride statistics (distance, elevation gain, etc) and see a Google map of the route before setting off. If you have a Garmin GPS system you can also download the ride.
Obviously the loop through the Simi Knolls, where we live, and where most of the rides start from, is optional!!
They are ordered by type first then on an increasing scale of difficulty – One gel = easier to Five gel – very hard. We've also added some fitness tests for the hard core out there...

One Gel Rides
Simi Bike Trail
Lost Hills - Wood Ranch – Royal. (A good, relatively quiet, mellow road ride around Simi)
Box – Woolsey (Only a one gel for the distance, 3 for elevation, and 5+ for the EXTREME degree of care required going down Black into Simi). If you are not familiar with 25% downgrades skip this one and try it in reverse first – that’ll give you a sense of how steep Black Canyon is.
Three Gel Rides
Black, Woolsey, Box, Santa Susanna and back
Valley Tuesday and Thursday Training Ride – Starts at CSUN at 5:30pm and crosses Devonshire and Topanga about 6pm
Five Gel Rides
Black, Stunt, One Way, Las Flores, Cold, Box
